I would just like to thank the manager, her deputy and all the wonderful staff at Ivybank House for the continued care and support given to my brother and myself. Their sheer dedication is truly admirable. They all make this home a very special place.
The team at Ivybank House Care Home in Bath are incredible. Every time I visit Dad, it's like going to see friends and family. The whole team get on so well and all work incredibly hard. They consistently go the extra mile for the residents. The food is excellent and the activities, socials and parties they organise are fantastic. We could not have found a better place for Dad.
We feel that the level of care that Mum is receiving could not be bettered. We knew that Mum can be "awkward" at times but she is always treated with dignity, respect and an appropriate level of humour. She's always smartly dressed, clean and with her hair looked after. All the staff deserve the highest praise.
Having gone into Ivybank House Care Home for a temporary stay five months ago, Dad soon decided that he wanted to stay permanently. He is full of praise for the care he receives from all the staff, their friendliness and the dignity with which they treat him.
Mum seems very settled and happy at Ivybank House Care Home. She enjoys the trips out and the activities provided. As long as she is happy, we are happy!
Since my mother-in-law has moved into Ivybank House it's given her a new lease of life. She's much more motivated and happier and now has a life amongst people who really look after her well. Being taken out on trips and involving her in everything they do. We couldn't wish for anything more.

Sheila has reached the amazing age of 100, and what a privilege it has been to share this special moment with her. With a century of memories, experiences and stories, she continues to inspire us every day with her warmth, wisdom and wonderful sense of humour. 💖
One of the highlights of the day was Sheila receiving her special birthday card from King Charles III – a truly proud and memorable moment! 👑💌
Knowing how much Sheila loves horses, her celebrations included a beautiful horse-themed birthday cake, which she absolutely adored! 🐴🎂
The day was filled with decorations, laughter, friends, family and plenty of birthday cheer.
Sheila, you are truly remarkable, and it has been an honour to celebrate 100 wonderful years with you. Here’s to a lifetime of treasured memories! 🥂

What a beautifully busy week we’ve had! 💛
We were absolutely spoiled with a visit from the most charming and loving therapy dog 'Doris' 🐶 — so many smiles, cuddles, and happy moments shared. There’s nothing quite like the comfort and joy a furry friend brings!
We also turned up the energy with our Rock & Roll armchair exercise session 🎸🪑 Getting those toes tapping and hands clapping while staying active — who says exercise can’t be fun?
And to top it all off, we enjoyed our lovely “Now and Then” music sing-along 🎶 From golden oldies to more modern favourites, it was wonderful to see everyone joining in, singing from the heart, and sharing special memories through music.
Weeks like this remind us how important connection, movement, and a little bit of melody truly are. Here’s to more joyful moments ahead! 💫

🌸🌿 A Wonderful Day at Ivybank Care Home! 🌿🌸
Our residents have been busy enjoying two of their favourite activities this week – Gardening Club and Pom Pom Exercise! 💚
During Gardening Club, everyone got their hands stuck into planting, watering, and tending to our beautiful flowers and greenery. There’s nothing quite like watching something you've planted grow. 🌼🌱
It’s a lovely way to relax, reminisce, and nurture both plants and friendships.
Later, we added a splash of colour and energy with our Pom Pom Exercise session! 💙💛 With bright pom poms in hand, residents enjoyed gentle movements to music, helping to improve mobility, coordination, and most importantly – bringing lots of smiles and laughter to the room! 🎶✨
At Ivybank, we love creating meaningful activities that support wellbeing, encourage social connection, and make every day enjoyable for our wonderful residents.

What a lovely day full of fun, laughter, and a little pampering here at Ivybank House Care Home 💇♀️✨
We started the morning with a relaxing trip to the hairdresser — fresh styles, big smiles, and everyone feeling fabulous! Then in the afternoon, residents enjoyed a friendly game of Jenga, worked on some colourful puzzles, and even tried their luck with a bit of Playing Your Cards Right.
There was plenty of concentration, cheering each other on, and lots of happy moments shared — days like these really are special 💛
